Exploring nostalgia, girlhood, and the relationship between identity and landscape

My mother's often-used maxim, "boredom births creativity" inspired a lifelong love affair with all forms of art and expression, especially those found in the mundane. Now, as an adult who is constantly fascinated with the world and its people, I strive daily to reconnect with my childhood curiosity through words, photography, and illustration. What have emerged from this are themes of girlhood and identity, rooted in my rural Appalachian upbringing.

I often shoot on film because it captures light in a uniquely nostalgic way. The practice of slowing down and composing shots has shaped my craft quite a bit, and I especially love collecting moments of joy or intense emotion on film. While all of my final images attempt to encapsulate the feeling of life through a vintage lens, my services offered here are digital. Please fill out my contact form if you would like to request a film shoot and I am happy to discuss details.
